GPGC Alumni 50th Anniversary Reunion!!!

The Governor's Program for Gifted Children celebrated its 50th Anniversary in July 2008!
The event was a huge success -- with around 200 former gifties and and faculty and staff coming together to renew old friendships and to make new ones. We were all extremely sad with the news of Dr. Middleton's passing, but we also felt there was no more appropriate way of honoring his memory than to visit the Program that he worked so hard to establish and maintain once more. Each of us is in our own way a tribute to Dr. Middleton, and the reunion served as a joyous affirmation of his life.
For those of you who weren't able to come, we missed you very much. And we invite you to check out the many photographs of the meetings, speeches, dinners, and dances that all helped to make this event so special:
50th Reunion Photos
The Reunion Edition of The Thinker is now online and available for download! It is jam-packed with articles about the highlights of the reunion, pictures, and individual comments and stories from many gifties from throughout the Program's history. It also includes the text of one of the most interesting and entertaining of all talks, given by Mike Lejeune (Class 1970), which describes how Dr. Middleton began the Program, its earliest history, and several amusing anecdotes about what life was like at the GPGC back in the "old days"...
